The mission of the National Institute for Higher Education: Mpumalanga is to create a sound and efficient environment for the provision of higher education through programme collaboration with public higher education institutions operating in the Province and to contribute to the economic and social development needs of the Province and the country.

The Institute will, at all times, contribute to the creation of an enabling environment, which satisfies the reasonable expectations of all its stakeholders and will develop a culture of consultation, compliance and good governance.
